  • There are lots of ways to optimize your portfolio. The first way is to make sure your structure is set up property.

  • You should be analyzing the performance of the properties and business on a monthly basis (at least). This is the only way you can ensure that you are making money in your business.

  • Buy & hold properties are treated very differently for tax purposes than properties that are being flipped in a short period of time. Buy & hold rental properties qualify for more tax benefits as they are considered "passive activities" in the eyes of the IRS.
